Product Details

In-Channel Ventshade™ Polished Front Window Deflectors by AVS®. 2 Pieces. Material: Stainless Steel. These are the direct descendants of the original AVS product invented in 1935. Very simply, they allow you to lower your windows a bit when it’s raining to enable fresh air circulation and you won’t get wet. They also let you crack your windows to let heat escape when parked in bright sunlight, keeping your interior cooler. These modern versions are made of stainless steel and car wash safe.

Installation

Today if it’s raining and getting too stuffy inside a vehicle, the average motorist can just switch on the A/C, but that wasn’t an option for drivers in 1935. Back then the only solution was to get some fresh air inside the vehicle from outside and that meant getting wet. To address this problem AVS created the original Ventshade. It mounted above the car window so the window could be cracked open a bit to allow airflow without letting the rain in. It was also found that Ventshades provided additional shielding from the sun’s rays and also kept interiors cooler during the hot summer months by allowing the windows to be cracked open when parked in the sun. The trapped heat was able to escape without potential thieves knowing that the windows were slightly down.

The materials they’re made from and method of installation may have changed, but today’s Ventshades are still as effective as their forebears. Modern Ventshades are constructed from tough, corrosion resistant stainless steel, so you’ll get many years of reliable service, and they’re available in your choice of black or natural stainless steel.

You can run your car or truck through the car wash with Ventshades installed; however automatic “brush-style” car washes should be avoided. They come with everything required for installation, including detailed instructions, and they’re covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to the original purchaser as long as he or she owns the vehicle on which the product is installed.

Easy Install
Ordered these bc I've had good luck in the past. I've had them on atleast a dozen vehicles. I was curious about all the reviews talking about missing tape on one edge. If installed correctly thats not a problem. The edge without tape does not go in the window channel. But in front of the window gasket behind the trim. I see alot of reviews saying how there windows hit when going up. If installed correctly that doesn't happen.

Nice
Look nice. I would suggest including the clips that goes into the run channel to prevent the window from hitting the deflector

Silverado EV
Hard item to get for the Silverado EV. Either unavailable or on backorder for most other retailers and the dealer wants nearly double for what almost guaranteed a repacking AVS product. Have been using AVS low profile visors on several trucks and on this one now also. I always put on additional 3M trim tape around the areas that are going to be over the pillars to make them more resistant to the drive thru car washes but no issues on them yet. Purchased from CARID Ebay store.

Very Easy to Install
These air deflectors were very easy to install, only downfall to them is that you have to scan a QR Code for instructions, but they’re pretty self explanatory as well.
