Every T-Rex grille starts with a design created with advanced CAD software. If the design is approved, it first undergoes thorough testing for fit and durability, before it enters production. The material for each grille is precision laser cut, and TIG welded and assembled using custom jigs. The grille is then powder coated, electro-polished or chrome plated. Continuous quality control inspections during production ensure you receive a perfect product.

The only problem you’ll ever have with a T-Rex grille is deciding which one you want. Their roster of grilles includes the classic Billet Series, the sumptuous Upper Class, the rugged X-Metal Series and illuminated Torch Series version, the bold Graphic Series, and the economical Sport Series. The Billet Series is a traditional design constructed from highly polished or black finish 6061/6063 Billet Aluminum and available with horizontal or vertical bars.

The luxurious Upper Class Series Grille features stainless steel finely woven into full formed mesh in a strong, precision cut 12-gauge 304 stainless steel frame, available in polished and black finish. With its studded perimeter surrounding heavy gauge woven wire mesh, the X-Metal Series Grille has an aggressive look that’s perfect for brawny trucks and SUVs. T-Rex added a powerful LED light bar to the X-Metal grille to create the innovative Torch Series.

T-Rex applies 4 distinctive camouflage patterns to its framed wire mesh or billet grilles to create the Graphic Series Grilles. The mesh grilles are constructed from carbon steel while the billet grilles are formed from billet aluminum. The Sport Series is a unique frameless mesh grille designed to install easily over the factory grille. Excellent Grille
I decided to upgrade my stock grill because I just didn't like the look of it. This T-Rex grille looks so much better. I also believe the mesh will keep more bugs out compared to stock. I have yet to confirm that, however. The square spaces in the mesh are 1/4"x 1/4". Pros: Removing old grill is not that hard to do but with a caveat (I'll get to that in the cons). The fitment to the existing front of the truck was almost perfect. The hardware fit very well including the housing or bracket for the radar unit. The emblem fits in the radar bracket just fine. The stealth look is impressive. Cons: This con is not about the grille. It's about the emblem and some ineptitude on my part. You must handle the removal of the emblem with extreme care. There are 4 plastic tabs with barbs that need to be squeezed to disengage the emblem from the old stock grille. The plastic tabs are very fragile and unforgiving. They will break very easily if you are not careful. I was too hasty and too rough on the tabs and the result was I broke 2 of the tabs. I decided to take the Tacoma in for a re-calibration since I couldn't say for sure it didn't need it. I double checked the radar LDS after the recalibration and all seems to be working fine. Here is another mistake I made. I didn't check the new emblem installation when I got to my truck after the re-calibration. One day, a few weeks later, I thought I'd pop the hood and peek in there. Sure enough, one of the tabs was broken. That issue needed to be addressed immediately and I should have checked....... probably before I even paid the bill. So, now I don't really know for sure if the dealership broke the tab or it happened sometime later during normal driving. But so far, just 3 tabs are holding the emblem in place just fine. Overall, it turned out to be a very expensive affair but it looks so awesome on my Tacoma and I learned what not to do and what to watch out for. Hope this post helps the next guy or gal.

Great Visual Upgrade
Bought to replace the original grill emblem that was falling apart. Whole replacement took less than 10 minutes. New emblem is thick and heavy, and feels great in my hand. Hole placement was *just* a hair off, so I had to do some encouraging to get it to fit, but unless you get 3 inches away, you would never know. Completely recommend.
