Crankshaft Gear by Omix-ADA®. The crankshaft drives the camshaft and valvetrain via timing sprockets and chain or timing gears. The valves are timed to open and close at precise intervals, and this timing can go astray when sprockets/gears become worn, causing poor engine performance. As timing sprockets/gears wear, the teeth get thinner and may even chip or break off in severe cases. Don't wait for loose metal to find its way into your oil pan. Replace that sprocket, or preferably the complete timing assembly, at the first sign of wear, with a new replacement from Omix-ADA.
