The Nissan Frontier was introduced in 1997. Originally, the vehicle was a compact pickup truck, but its size was increased in 2004 and since then the Frontier has been based on the wider F-Alpha platform by Nissan. The standard trim level for this generation featured a 4.0 L V6 engine and the power output equaled to 261 hp.
