There's no need to cut the plug off the brake controller to wire it directly to your vehicle. With this wiring harness, it's very simple to plug and unplug the controller for use in different vehicles or for storage when not in use. The wire end splices into your vehicle's wiring. The wiring adapter is suitable for use on a vehicle that does not have a factory tow package or is not equipped with a plug-in port. If you're vehicle is not equipped with a factory tow package, you will need to purchase an additional equipment to ensure that the signals from your brake controller are sent directly to your trailer brakes.
