A winch can be an extremely useful tool while exploring off-road trails far from civilization, rescuing another vehicle while cruising on the beach, or landscaping in your own back yard. All winches are given a pull rating – which determines the amount of weight that the unit can safely pull. A generally accepted formula is to choose a winch that is rated for at least 1.5 times the weight you will need to pull.
Properly designed, properly built and properly mounted grille guards offer very good protection for a vehicle front. The protective value of small chrome bars protruding under the bumper is debatable, but there is no denying that they look good and that they provide an excellent mount for auxiliary lights.

"1st 2013 Explorer I've seen w a bull bar on! 3 hrs to put on as I took my time with the new car. The removal of the plastic air damn below the bumper was time-consuming and re-installment with some cutting to put back in place over the bar. Bar was easily installed with great instructions and pics of installment, I just used a 2-ton jack to lift the front of the car with some blocks and had enough room to do the job."

"I wanted to separate my 13 Explorer from all the rest on the road, and the Aries bull bar did exactly that. The front of my truck looks great, the bull bar has a fresh new look without being too gaudy/.. It compliments the truck perfectly... I'm extremely happy, can't stop looking at it. Thank you! To all the people that helped at CARiD, I definitely will be making more purchases from you, thanks again..."

"I recently purchased a "Broadfeet Bull Bar" for my 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition and it is one of the best "Bull Bars" I have ever seen. The finish of this product is amazing, the name "Broadfeet " cut out on the protector plate is perfect. The look on my truck just got so much better. I Highly recommened this product."

"Ford Truck Explorer 2010 Aries Bull Bar 3" with Stainless Skid Plate looks good and will do the job I needed it for. I like to carry my Kayak on the roof but my Explorer has no place to tie a rope from the kayak to the Explorer front. Therefore, I needed something to tie a rope to with some strengh that would keep pressure off the front of the vehicle. It was easy to put on and had extra hardware that was not needed for my vehicle. The wind dam and radiator protection had to come off the vehicle as the Aries protects the radiator and provides some wind dam protection to. I have not heard any additional noise from either removing the mentioned items nor from the addition of the bull bar. Installation took about 30 minutes working from a rack. It installed without any modifications except what is mentioned above. I am very satisfied. It does cover the license plate up slightly. May be I will raise it a few inches. I now feel that I has looks, protection and a place to tie my Kayak to."
