High-quality Firestone air springs are used in many applications, including light vehicles, trailers, heavy duty trucks, buses, rail cars, etc.
The company was set up in 1936 when Firestone Tire and Rubber Company bought a plant in Noblesville, Indiana. In 1938 Firestone engineered and patented the first Pneumatic Suspension Device known as the Firestone Airide™ Air Spring. Since that year the company has been leading the market in terms of innovation and growth. Moreover, they use environmentally friendly manufacturing methods when producing Firestone air suspension components. For example, in 2002 they started Six Sigma processes to reduce waste.
Firestone manufacturing facilities and offices have undertaken several certification programs such as ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standards, ISO 9001 and TS 16949 Quality Management System Standards. In 1934 Firestone presented Airide™ air springs for trucks and trailers. Since then the company has made more air springs for more applications than any other air spring manufacturer. Designed to OE specs, these air springs offer total life cycle value. Firestone also provides Airide™ air springs for buses that ensure vehicle stability, improve steering and handling.
Firestone has a selection of superior Air-Rite™ air control systems that are an instant air source for your air suspension. Adjust your vehicle for various load and road conditions with the help of a switch, remote or utilizing an app through your mobile phone. Separate air accessory components are also offered, namely Firestone air bags, air tanks, compressors, gauges, and mounting solutions. Among Firestone products are premium Ride-Rite air springs carefully engineered to enhance stability, increase safe load carrying capacity, and improve the whole ride quality.
The company's Coil-Rite air helper springs ensure a smooth ride for vehicles which have a coil spring suspension. When it comes to Work-Rite kits, they provide smooth driving even in case your vehicle is fully loaded thanks to progressive load-deflection properties. Work-Rite load assist springs are manufactured from microcellular urethane and are injection molded. They are completely adjustable to ensure individual loading utilizing spacers that are included in every kit. Work-Rite springs are offered for the rear suspension of most popular pickup trucks.
