Enjoy the charming retro feel and ride of the Dodge Colt for years to come with a custom exhaust system from CARiD. Each of these exhausts is specifically designed to boost the performance of the Colt engine and perfectly matches the 1987 and 1988 Colt specifications. Unlike the stock exhaust systems and OEM exhausts subsequently released into the market - which are strictly built to facilitate exhaust gas movement - our custom exhausts are built with performance as the end result. They increase exhaust flow by more than 30% and reduce high backpressure, which causes loss of horsepower as seen when stock and OEM exhaust systems are used. Our range of Dodge Colt exhaust systems includes complete cat back exhaust systems from Borla, Magnaflow and Flowmaster, and performance headers, mufflers and tips from Onki, Gibson, Weapon-R, MBRP, Zunden and RBP. Choose the exhaust system that matches your Colt specifications in order to enjoy up to 10% extra power and torque.

The custom exhaust boosts the efficiency of your Colt engine and among the greatest impacts this has is that fuel is burned completely, leading to a reduction in fuel consumption and a higher mpg. As you drive the car more and more, you will find that you can now cover more mileage (than before) on the same amount of fuel. The Dodge Colt custom exhaust gives a low, throaty growl which perfectly complements the car’s retro appeal. This note has the pronounced quality of the power engine without the loudness of muscle cars, the kind of sound that is low enough for you enjoy listening to the car as you drive. This will be the only time you buy an exhaust system for your Colt because, like all our custom exhaust systems, the Colt custom exhaust will serve your car for years. It doesn’t need constant replacement neither does is break down easily, meaning zero maintenance expenses for you.

Engines have often been compared to air pumps, because the engine that’s most efficient in terms of economy and power is the one that can get air in and out of its cylinders the easiest. That’s why most performance modifications like conical air filters, cold air intake systems, headers, and cat-back exhaust systems are aimed at making the intake and exhaust systems less restrictive. These parts increase the flow of air into the engine and ease the flow of exhaust gas out of the engine. Among these components, headers may be the most difficult to install. In this article, we’ll discuss what headers do, their different types, and how much performance they can add to your car.

You may be wondering why so many aftermarket performance exhaust system manufacturers are offering dual exhaust systems connected by "H-pipe" or "X-pipe" sections. After all, aren't two separate pipes, or so-called "true duals", the best for performance? The answer is no, but to understand why we have to examine how a typical internal combustion engine works.

It's an age-old question that many have asked. Will an aftermarket exhaust be worth the expense? While they definitely can be, an important question to ask yourself is do you care more about the deeper sound they’re designed to produce, or the added performance gained from being less restrictive? As car enthusiasts, we’ve become accustomed to associating the sound of a car with its exhaust. After all, doesn’t everyone have a childhood memory or two of a car and the particular sound it made?

Regardless of whether you're shopping for a simple replacement muffler that delivers original equipment (OE) sound and performance or an upgraded muffler which provides a deeper growl with increased power through freer exhaust flow, you'll see choices between "direct fit" mufflers and "universal" mufflers. In this article, we'll help you understand the differences between these two styles so you can make a more informed purchase.

I couldn't be more happy with this product the sound will blow your mind on whatever you choose to put it on whether it be a six cylinder like I put it on or a v8 very much recommend this product if you want a really nearly sound.
