After you re connect the MAF harness, battery and check the OBD scanner what if there are no codes? First, and second is the idle supposed to be rough at first?

Need to Correct the CARiD JET Flow Expert
JET® - Powr-Flo® Mass Air Flow Sensor
I need to correct the CARiD expert on the JET flow for my car and Toyota cars, this maf sensor is CARB exempt and approved for use and sale in California as mine came with a CARB exempt sticker and is approved now by the CA Air resource board. I even affixed the sticker under my hood. As my car is a CA emissions vehicle even though I live in Pennsylvania. As most vehicles now are 50 state legal. As for Jet flow power flow sensors for other types of vehicles that might vary on whether they are approved for use and sale in California.

Continuation of Previos Review.
JET® - Powr-Flo® Mass Air Flow Sensor
I am continuing what I wanted to post but was limited. So can someone please relay to JET flow that they need to have diferent set of install instructions for obd 2 vehicles and not instructions based off of older obd 1 vehicles such as fox body mustangs? And that if you have an obd 2 vehicle like my scion you need to disconnect the battery first and leave it disconnected for 5 minutes before removing the stock maf sensor and installing this great sensor. Because if you don't the sensor will work fine for about 4 days then suddenly set off a bunch of codes. And a good scan and clear codes tool won't be able to fix it until you go through the disconnect battery first so the computer can map the new sensor and the correct air fuel ratio mixtures. And relearn everything otherwise the computer goes haywire after about 4 days with a Toyota motor. This will save jet flow from a lot of complaints from customers thinking the sensor is bad when it isn't. It's just that in order for the cars computer to be able to map it properly you need to disconnect the battery first to reset the whole computer so it can map the sensor properly. After that everything runs smoothly and great and better than the stock denso maf sensors.

Need to Disconect Battery Before Install but Otherwize Great Product
JET® - Powr-Flo® Mass Air Flow Sensor
I purchased this item 2 months ago from another vendor not realizing CARiD also sold them. I installed item on my 2013 Scion tC on Sunday and ran my code scanner to reset the obd 2 computer and everything ran smoothly until today. Then the check engine light came on and my car stalled so I put the stock maf sensor back on so I could get home. I then attempted cleaning the jet flow with maf sensor cleaner let dry. Then I attempted to reinstall but each time the check engine light came on and it ran funny and my Zurich was unable to clear the codes. It was not until I read here how someone else had the same issue and disconnected the sensor and the battery for 5 minutes, then plug the harness back into the sensor first then reconnect the positive and negative terminals on the battery. Turn key to the on position. Then run clear all oem enhanced and obd 2 codes to reset computer further. Then start car let run for 5 minutes at idle. Then turn off engine turn key to on position to clear new pending codes from computer which are the engine startibility codes that get set from the computer remapping and relearning from the new high performance sensor. Then restart car, then drive it around to get all monitoring systems back to ready. Anyway the Idle on these things is much smoother vs the stock denso sensors. And the car runs much better now vs the stock denso sensor. Thank God someone posted about disconnecting battery before installing this great sensor. I thought the sensor went bad when the low circuit code went on. And the needing to let the cars computer relearn and remap so the sensor works Iike it should. Still curios why car did not set off any codes for 4 days. And then today even with a computer reset from my good Zurich scan tool it made the engine and idle go haywire every time I tried reinstalling the sensor until I disconnected the battery for 5 minutes first.

Please make sure to disconnect negative power cable from car battery before you do anything. Included instructions don’t tell you that. See other reviews for more details. Working no problems or engine check lights. Made my 2013 1.8L automatic Toyota Matrix more peppy, better acceleration. No, it’s not a Mustang but the sluggish acceleration is better now. Satisfied.

2002 Toyota Highlander w/ 1mz-fe V6 3.0L
This product does not work as stated for the Highlander without further fuel modifications such as a larger fuel pressure regulator and accompanying fuel mods/tuning. Subsequently its still a great product and I will still give it the 5 stars it deserves however future buyers beware that lean air fuel codes will be a likely problem on the vehicle listed in subject if other mods are not addressed as stated above.

Works Great!
Easy to install. Disconnect the battery, change the sensor, reconnect the battery, turn your car key to the first position, wait for the stability control light to go off, then turn on the vehicle. Let it idle for about 5 min to take in the new sensor and voila. Check engine light never came back on.
