- Replaces factory bumper-mounted ball
- Allows use of receiver-mounted accessories
- Upgrade factory-mounted receivers to higher weight class
- Permits use of equalizing hitches
- Choose hidden or exposed receiver tube
- Installation kit included
If your vehicle already has a factory-mounted hitch receiver, it may not be rated to tow the trailer you’d like to. Bearing in mind the Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) rating of your vehicle, you may wish to upgrade the OEM receiver with one of higher capacity. Choose between a "hidden" receiver that lurks right under the bumper, or a hitch receiver that sets lower to the ground and allows the use of a ball mount with less drop.82.05 136.01

The Curt rear hitch was installed on a 2010 Honda CR-V to use with a bike rack. Very good quality and nice look. However, you can not use the standard hitch tool that comes with a Thule bike rack to tighten the hitch pin into the receiver because of the receiver's short design. It has less than 1/8" between the hitch pin hole and the round receiver for the wrench. Therefore, you will have to use 3/4" wrench when attaching and removing the bike rack's hitch pin.1 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful for you? YesNoShare this review:
