Unlike some headlights that only use LEDs for accent lighting, this Lumen Projector LED Headlight is a full-LED light. LEDs produce light of superior quality, with more lumens than standard halogen bulbs. And they use less energy than halogen bulbs to produce that light and last much longer, 50,000 hours or more. Lumen’s artistic designers have creatively arranged these LEDs within eye-catching full-circle halos and projector beams in the headlight housing to create a unique display that will give your vehicle a distinctive appearance, and at the same time make it more visible to other drivers for safer cruising day and night.
The full-circle halo can be configured as an eye-catching, bright white halo that functions as a Daytime Running Light (DRL). But just like on many late model cars, it can also be set-up in “switchback” mode and change to flashing amber when the turn signals are switched on. Projector beams provide light that is far superior to that created by conventional parabolic reflectors like those in your OE sealed beam. With their small elliptical reflectors and clear lenses, projector beams produce a sharper, more focused beam of light without the scatter loss that is common with parabolic reflectors. Lumen projector beams direct more light where you need it for better visibility and safer driving/riding in darkness and inclement weather, without blinding oncoming drivers. This Lumen headlight includes both High and Low beam.
Lumen LED headlights are impervious to shock and vibration, so they’re perfect for vehicles used off-road and on rough pavement. The rugged die-cast aluminum housing and strong polycarbonate lens construction has an IP67 ingress protection rating against the intrusion of dust and moisture, so you can count on reliable operation under all weather conditions. Lumen LED projector beams are a true bolt-on, plug & play replacement for standard sealed beams – installation is easy and only minor wiring work is needed for halo operation. However, since LEDs don’t use as much power as halogen bulbs, some vehicles may exhibit flickering, bulb out warnings, or dashboard error messages when LED lights are installed in place of halogen lights. Resistors and/or CAN Bus decoders are available to eliminate such problems; however, they are not included and must be purchased separately.
