If you don't want to drive your off-road or rock crawling prepared Jeep on the highway but don't have a trailer, you can still get your rig to the trailhead with the Smittybilt Adjustable Tow Bar Kit. This kit has a 5000 lb. GVW capacity and fits any standard 2" ball. The 2" coupler has arms that can be adjusted to conform to virtually any bumper. If your Jeep has a Smittybilt bumper with D-ring mounts, you can use the included D-ring brackets to attach the arms to the bumper. On all other bumpers, a pair of universal brackets are supplied which are attached to the bumper with the included hardware after holes are drilled in the bumper. These brackets attach to the arms with the included pivot brackets.
For the best appearance and long-term durability, all tow bar parts are acid dipped to remove impurities, a special "E-Coat" is applied inside and out, and finally a dual stage textured black powder coat finish is applied. Two sets of safety chains are supplied, one set to be attached to the towing vehicle and tow bar arms and the other to be attached to the tow vehicle and tow bar arms. The kit comes with all required mounting hardware and detailed installation instructions. The Adjustable Tow Bar Kit is covered by a 5-year limited warranty against finish defects and a Smittybilt Advantage limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
