Racing sanctioning body rules often require that seat covers be made of fabrics with specific qualities, and it’s unlikely that a local upholstery shop will have supplies of such material. Not only can you be assured of getting the right material, when you source the cover from the seat manufacturer you can also be assured of proper fitment. And because these covers are produced in quantity, you’ll most likely save money compared to a custom reupholster job.

Because they’re specially configured for specific forms of competition, and designed to fit various cockpit and driver sizes, racing seats come in a wide range of styles and dimensions. But even though they’re far different from the seats in an ordinary road car, they can suffer the same kinds of wear, resulting in torn and tattered upholstery and uncomfortable compacted foam cushions. But unlike OE seats, a conventional cover can’t be used as a replacement.

The racing seat covers we offer are manufactured by the same brands of racing seats we carry. The cover is part of the design of the original seat, and a replacement cover will be of the same material and structure as the original cover. In fact, some manufacturers sell their seat covers separately from the seats, so a replacement cover is handled the same as an original purchase. No matter the brand, type or size of the seat, our racing seat covers will fit properly and easily, and provide the comfort and appearance you want.

While material specifics will vary according to seat and brand, the fabric used to create some racing seat covers is fire retardant and non-slip where required. And since many of our racing seats are FIA approved, the seat covers for those seats meet the same regulations. Although some racing seat covers are only available in the original color, we have others that are available in a range of colors so you can customize the appearance of your interior. With our selection of racing seat covers, there’s no need to risk being uncomfortable and distracted during the heat of competition, or have your racer looking less than 100%.

If the seats in your daily driver become worn, we can set you up with custom seat covers made for your specific year, make and model, in your choice of materials, patterns, and colors, including leather, suede, velour, neoprene, and camo. But because racing seats are unique to their purpose you have but two choices when cover replacement is necessary: Try to get them recovered at an upholstery shop or obtain a cover made by the seat manufacturer.
