Difficult Installation
Recon® 264113BK - Black/Smoke LED 3rd Brake Light
The product is great, absolutely no complaint with it. The installation on the other hand was difficult. You may have to seek professional help because you have to remove the the original light from the inside of the cab. I had no idea how to remove the roof lining without damaging the lining. Tried looking for help on online but was unsuccessful. Installation costed more than the light. Do your homework before you purchase.

2007 Tundra
Recon® 264113BK - Black/Smoke LED 3rd Brake Light
Light looks great on the truck, but, other review were correct when they said it isn’t an exact fit. There were large gaps that I had to seal with black calk. It was difficult to install. Not because of the way it’s made but because Toyota didn’t think about how they were mounting the light. You have to take the headliner down in the back to get to the mounting hardware.

Useless As A Cargo Light
Recon® - Black/Smoke LED 3rd Brake Light
This light looks good, seems well built, installs no problem, and the red brake light LEDs are bright, but the white LEDs are barely visible and useless for illuminating the truck bed. I falsely assumed it would function as a cargo light, like the OEM light, wasted >$100 on it, and will replace it.

Decent Substitute For The OEM
Recon® - Black/Smoke LED 3rd Brake Light
Overall this seems to be a good product, however in order to make it not leak I had to put a bead of black RTV around the whole thing. Since the OEM light didn't require this I wouldn't think a good aftermarket replacement would either.

Very Nice
The light looks good and is very bright at night, I used a marine silicon sealant to make sure there would be no future leaks. Installation was very straight forward, nothing to modify. My only complaint is that the chrome part of the light was scratched a faded in some areas. But no big deal to me as I will be spraying title black pretty soon.

Recon - 3rd Brake Light
Pretty easy to change. If you don't have a magnetic socket for the 10mm nuts holding the light on (under the headliner) use a small amount of clear dielectric grease on the socket and it will hold the nut. If you lose it, it is very difficult to get back. It took me about 45 minutes from start to finish, not too bad at all.

Great Product
I ordered the Recon lights after receiving inferior lights from another part company. Not only the light is made way better, it looks 10 times better than the others.

Question:
my Recon 3rd brake light just flickers.. never stay lit. Can I replace the bulbs
Posted by warren / September 20, 20212017 Toyota Tundra
CARiD Answer:
Hi, most light assemblies like this one are sealed, and the LED bulbs are not replaceable separately. Before you conclude that the problem is with the assembly, check the tightness and cleanliness of both the power and ground wiring connections.
