In the mid-2000s, Mitsubishi decided to bring its own pickup model to the United States market to compete with popular trucks from other Japanese and American brands. The first attempt of the company to conquer this segment of the market, the Mitsubishi L200, did not quite suit the tastes of American consumers, so the company decided to build their next truck on the Chrysler ND platform that had already been serving as a basis for Dodge Dakota pickups. The two companies had reached a cooperation agreement, and in 2005, the production of the Mitsubishi Raider started. The truck’s exterior had nothing in common with the Dakota, but technically the models were almost identical.

Mitsubishi Raider vehicles were powered by Chrysler engines – a 3.7L V6 that generated 210 hp and a 4.7L V8 capable of producing 230 hp. Six-cylinder engine versions were mated to a four-speed manual or automatic transmission, while V8-powered vehicles had only a five-speed automatic transmission. Other equipment options included a choice between a rear- or an all-wheel drive and a single row or a double row cabin. With our store, finding any necessary Mitsubishi Raider repair parts for your truck will be fast and easy.
