V-formation tread pattern and a special rubber compound ensure long-lasting treadwear and dependability

While many people view all-seasons as a compromise between winter and summer rubber, it is not the case when it comes to Cross Climate 2 tires. These are developed and tested to perform in all climate conditions providing reliable grip and traction on both wet and dry surfaces. What’s more, their special tread pattern and compound gained them the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol that indicates they are safe to use in light and moderate snow and at low temperatures.

Along with excellent wet stopping, dry grip, and snow performance, these units also offer long treadlife. The manufacturer claims that they outlast leading competitive tires by up to 15,000 miles (about a year of driving) on a treadwear test. All the mentioned-above made them highly competitive in the crowded all-season tire category.

Good Grip
MICHELIN TIRES® - CROSSCLIMATE 2
I’m not new to all-season MS tires. Over the years of my driving experience, I have tried different budget-friendly and expensive models from different brands. These Michelins are my favorite to date. I’m really impressed with their performance in both snow and rain. Dry performance is also good. Just what you need for Minnesota’s climate unless you want to change your tires twice a year. If they last at least 50K miles, I’ll be buying them again.

MICHELIN TIRES® - CROSSCLIMATE 2
I was in the market for tires that perform equally well on dry, wet, and snowy roads as my stock units didn’t meet my needs. These provide excellent traction in slippery conditions. No hydroplaning, slipping, or loss of control. Very reliable tires. I hope they will also last long.

Smooth Ride
MICHELIN TIRES® - CROSSCLIMATE 2
I can recommend these to everyone who lives in upstate New York where we get harsh winters. They are excellent all-season tires with the snow factor included. Snow, slush, and everything in between, they do it all with great confidence. They also work well in rain. I’ve put more than 10K miles on them in different weather conditions with no issues at all.

Impressive Wet Performance
MICHELIN TIRES® - CROSSCLIMATE 2
I live in Maine and need all-season tires that can withstand its climate with rainstorms, snowfalls, and everything in between. I have had these on my Audi for about a month and what I can say for now is that they provide great grip even in heavy rain, so my car never hydroplaned or wavered in any way. On the dry road, they also work great, but are a little bit noisy as for me. can't wait for snow to see how they will perform.

Best All-Seasons
MICHELIN TIRES® - CROSSCLIMATE 2
I bought these for my wife’s Infiniti to replace worn-out stock rubber a month ago. She was very pleased with their performance, especially in wet weather. During this month, I drove her car several times and had the chance to discover how they perform on dry and wet roads. Want to know my opinion? I’ve bought a second set of these tires for my BMW.

Quiet & Grippy
MICHELIN TIRES® - CROSSCLIMATE 2
This is my first ever set of all-season M+S tires with 3PMSF rating. Looking at their pretty aggressive tread, I thought they would be pretty noisy. But it promised good grip in snow and rain, and that was a deal-maker for me. Gotta admit, I was wrong. These tires are quiet and comfortable. As for performance, they handle nicely on icy, snowy, dry, wet, and puddled roads.

Questions and Answers

If you have any questions about this product, please don't hesitate to ask us. We will be happy to help you!
Question:
Is the Michelin CrossClimate 2 tire directional?
Posted by Customer / December 15, 20222020 Cadillac Escalade
CARiD Answer:
Yes, it is. It's designed to rotate in only one direction to maximize traction on wet and dry roads. So make sure it is installed on your vehicle facing the correct direction to perform at its best. If this is not the case, they will not only work worse but also wear out faster than expected.

Question:
Are Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires good in rain?
Posted by Customer / December 14, 20222019 Chevy Volt
CARiD Answer:
CrossClimate 2 tires prove themselves as one of the best-wet performers. Thanks to their special thread pattern, they provide excellent grip even in heavy rain with no hydroplaning at all. Michelin claims that these models can stop a car in a shorter distance (up to 56 feet) on the wet road surface compared to leading all-season tires.
Posted by CARiD Expert / December 14, 2022
Question:
Is the Michelin CrossClimate 2 good for winter?
Posted by Customer / December 14, 20222016 Infiniti QX50
CARiD Answer:
The CrossClimate 2 has the 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol on its sidewall, meaning it's a snow-rated tire. It provides great snow braking and traction. However, keep in mind that it doesn't match the performance of true winter rubber in adverse weather conditions. So if you live in a place where heavy snowfalls are common and frequently drive on snow covered and icy roads, winter-dedicated tires will be a better choice.
