Iron Cross® 638-8286B - 5" Patriot Series Cab Length Black Running Boards

This product looks great but it's not worth the price. It is hollow underneath, the instructions are to generic, the hardware and hangers that they come with are flimsy junk and the welded cross members underneath are not in the same place. I ended up drilling into the hangers and the cross members to get everything lined up, only to find out that the nuts and bolts weren't all there which resulted in a Home Depot run for a matching set. Go back to the drawing board. I'd make this a solid for that matches up to existing hangers or offer hangers that are just as good or if not better than the stock ones that offered and take the time to have the right hardware!!

Iron Cross Patriot on 2014 Dodge Ram

Received the patriot running boards after several weeks evidently they were out of stock. The running boards were in good condition. Spent a Saturday morning installing the running boards and the installation went fairly smoothly. A couple of disappointments was the steel plates to attach the running board to the brackets was not coated and was not stainless and neither was the bolts which would allow them to rust with all the salt we get on our Ohio roads in winter. Also the bolts to attach the running boards to the support brackets should have been carriage bolts instead of a standard bolt head since getting a wrench on the bolt heads up in the running board cavity was not easy. I took the time to paint the steel plates and exposed bolts which took me a little extra time. The instructions were easy to follow and had no problems installing the running boards. The running boards look awesome on my 2014 Dodge Ram, it gave the truck the look I was after. Like them very much.
