WireGard twist-on wire connectors are designed for general purpose applications requiring the connection of 2 or more copper wires. WireGard connectors feature a straight type Polypropylene shell with side knurling for an easy grip. The inner spring is zinc-plated to resist corrosion and has a tight square profile to make quick secure contact with wires and ensure connections with positive continuity. These all purpose connectors require fewer turns to meet required torque and meet or exceed UL pull out and dielectric test requirements. The tough thermoplastic shell shields against environmental extremes and resists chemical action from hydrocarbons, diluted acid or alkaline solutions.

Gardner Bender® has been innovating and manufacturing conduit bending and conduit fishing equipment, electrical connection supplies, tools and wire management products for electricians for over half a century. Inventor James Gardner had started to produce his first mold to begin manufacturing his patented aluminum conduit benders that contained double-levels to tell electricians they had a 45 or 90 degree angle of bend. Fueled from this success, innovation was born, and by 1969 he redesigned and patented an improved fish tape for pulling wires through conduit. By 1975 Gardner Bender was producing 13 different types of hand benders, three different types of fish tapes, an assortment of wire connectors and other items needed by electricians.
