    The Boss Mustang 302 is a car we all can't get enough, including Ford Racing inself. According to Mustang Daily, the new model from the Boss lineup, the Boss 302SX was revealed at the PRI show in Florida. The model is a concept car and called the ultimate track car.

    How is the new Boss Mustang different from its stablemates? The 2013 Boss Mustang 302SX boasts more kick under its hood. Thanks to changes brought with the intake manifold similar to the 2013 Mustang Cobra Jet's , the updated 5.0-liter V8 engine is expected to crank out over 500 hp.

    The 2013 model features an updated look as well. The new Mustang borrows aspects from both, the new Cobra Jet drag car and the Boss 302R race car. As for mechanical upgrades, they are the following: the improved oil cooler, adjustable coilover suspension, fuel system, and Ford Racing mufflers. The Team Ford has added lightweight 18x9.5-inch wheels that are mated to racing slicks as well as Brembo brakes. The 'Stang's interior is trimmed back featuring lightweight seats along with a quick release steering wheel. Even though the Boss 302SX is recognized as a concept model, it appears as a serious track star which is to be produced.

    The Blue Angels Edition is based on the 2012 Ford Mustang GT. This model was created as a contribute to 100 years of the naval aviation which is celebrated this year at the AirVenture 2011. The Blue Angels Edition Mustang will be disposed at the Ford Hangar throughout EAA AirVenture.

    The interior design was inspired by the acclaimed demonstration of the aviation performance team and the F-18 Hornet aircraft. Most of the exterior elements including rear spoiler vertical tail fins, the “screaming yellow” gloss accents, inclusion of the Blue Angels script and crest were borrowed from the Navy aircraft. The paint is a courtesy of the Creations n’ Chrome, the chrome blue paint of this kind was not created for any other production vehicle.

    Additional stylish details include cluster graphics, performance gauges, navigation screen images, safety belt fabric, instrument panel appliques and a cross-brace, Blue Angels script in the illuminated sill plates and puddle lamps that project jet images when the doors open. The model is equipped with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 624 horsepower. The performance accessories include the handling pack, performance exhaust and the racetrack brakes.

Some benefits of revised intake system are shorter runners and advanced intake manifold that leads to exceptional high air-flow rpm. The cylinder block is made of lightweight aluminum, and features cross-bolted caps of main bearing and thick main bearing bulkheads that essentially enhances bottom-end strength. Aluminum alloy cylinder heads, upgraded forged aluminum pistons and sinter-forged connecting rods both improve the engine strength and performance. The exhaust valves are sodium-filled to better heat dissipation. The larger sump 8.5 qt oil pan comes with revised oil pan baffling for better oil control when hard cornering.
