The Boss Mustang 302 is a car we all can't get enough, including Ford Racing inself. According to Mustang Daily, the new model from the Boss lineup, the Boss 302SX was revealed at the PRI show in Florida. The model is a concept car and called the ultimate track car.
How is the new Boss Mustang different from its stablemates? The 2013 Boss Mustang 302SX boasts more kick under its hood. Thanks to changes brought with the intake manifold similar to the 2013 Mustang Cobra Jet's , the updated 5.0-liter V8 engine is expected to crank out over 500 hp.
The 2013 model features an updated look as well. The new Mustang borrows aspects from both, the new Cobra Jet drag car and the Boss 302R race car. As for mechanical upgrades, they are the following: the improved oil cooler, adjustable coilover suspension, fuel system, and Ford Racing mufflers. The Team Ford has added lightweight 18x9.5-inch wheels that are mated to racing slicks as well as Brembo brakes. The 'Stang's interior is trimmed back featuring lightweight seats along with a quick release steering wheel. Even though the Boss 302SX is recognized as a concept model, it appears as a serious track star which is to be produced.
