Universal SRF React DOT 3/4 Brake Fluid by Castrol®. SRF React Dot 3/4 Racing Brake Fluid by Castrol®. The compressibility of Castrol React SRF Racing is very similar to that of current DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluids. It can therefore be filled into any braking system used in motor sport with the exception of those for which a mineral oil is prescribed. It gives a "hard pedal" feel.

The exceptionally high dry boiling point (higher than 300°C) makes Castrol React SRF Racing ideal for use under arduous braking conditions such as rallying or racing. It exceeds the boiling point requirements of DOT 5 brake fluids
Very high vapour lock point and has the additional advantage of sustaining high vapour lock point characteristics during its service life
It is miscible with all conventional fluids meeting the US Federal Standards FMVSS 116 DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1, ISO 4925 and current SAE J1703. This means that changing the brake system to Castrol SRF is easy. Drain and flush out the conventional brake fluid with Castrol SRF then top up the system with Castrol React SRF Racing. Although Castrol React SRF Racing is miscible with conventional brake fluids, topping up Castrol React SRF Racing with conventional brake fluids will reduce the benefits of the product
It is compatible with seal rubber and metal materials used in brake systems using conventional polyglycol brake fluids
It is similar in viscosity to conventional brake fluids so is easy to bleed like conventional brake fluids

FREE LIMITED LIFETIME ENGINE WARRANTY

Lifetime Protection for one of life’s biggest investments

Subject to the terms contained herein, it agrees to repair or replace, at its option and expense, the engine parts listed in the coverage section that fail or experience abnormal wear due to the failure of Castrol motor oil to provide proper lubrication to the engine of the vehicle identified above.

I. EFFECTIVE DATE

This warranty takes effect on 150 days from the date of registration and 5000 driven miles. The warranty period is defined in Section III below.

II. ELIGIBILITY

A vehicle is eligible for this warranty if it is a privately - owned passenger car, van or pickup/light truck with a GVWR of 6,500 pounds or less; and if:

1. The vehicle has been driven for less than 100,000 miles since t he in - service date;

2. The claimed damage occurred no less than 150 days and 5000 miles driven from the date of registration, and

3. The vehicle has a valid inspection sticker in the states where inspections are mandatory and has no pre-existing conditions.

This warranty also extends to such vehicles when leased by an individual when the Lessee is primarily obligated for repairs. Said vehicle is covered both during the term of the lease and after purchase by Lessee.

This warranty does not cover vehicles used for commercial, agricultural or farming purposes.

III. PERIOD

This warranty is provided for Castrol Edge Professional motor oil. If you use Castrol EDGE Professional exclusively, your vehicle is eligible to be covered forever - a lifetime guarantee!

You must maintain brand and type consistently for warranty level to remain in effect.

IV. COVERAGE

Only the following listed engine parts are covered:

• Pistons and Rings • Turbo Bearings • Timing Chains • Cylinder Lining or Bore • Oil Pump • Rods and Rod Bearings • Balance Shafts & Push Rods • Cam Shaft & Bearings

V. LIMITS OF LIABILITY

1. The payment of claims under this warranty is limited to the time needed to make the necessary repairs or to effect the replacement of any irreparably damaged engine part listed above as allocated by Chilton’s Flat Rate Guide or other auto industry accepted flat rate time guides (x) the commercial repair shop’s posted hourly labor rate, plus (+) the reasonable cost of a replaced engine part of like kind and quality.

2. Vehicles with a starting odometer mileage above 75000 miles when registered for coverage, only have coverage of 50% or a maximum of $2500 per claim.

VI. CONDITIONS

To keep this warranty valid, you must comply with all of the following requirements:

1. The vehicle engine must be serviced with Castrol EDGE Professional motor oil, exclusively; unless you have converted to this program from a competitive engine lubrication warranty program, in which case you must retain all appropriate records from the prior program (in addition to this program) in order to prove that service was performed in accordance with its terms.

2. Castrol recommends the intervals between motor oil changes, since registering for the Castrol Limited Lifetime Engine Warranty, not to exceed 6 months or 5,000 miles using EDGE Professional, whichever shall occur first. Under no circumstances, however, shall the intervals between motor oil changes exceed the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations for drain intervals as specified in the Owner’s Manual of the vehicle.

3. The motor oil used must be appropriate viscosity grade based on ambient conditions.

• Crankshaft & Bearings • Valve Lifters • Rocker Arms and Pivots • Distributor Drive Gear • Wrist Pins & Bushings • Timing Gear or Sprockets • Valve Stems & Guides (Grinding adjustments excluded)

4. The oil filter and air cleaner element must be replaced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

5. All services referred to in Section “VI” must be performed by an automotive service center, commercial fast oil change facility or auto dealer.

6. In the event of a claim, you must provide BP Lubricants USA Inc. with satisfactory evidence that all of the requested services referred to in Section VI were performed.

IMPORTANT: You must retain copies of all service receipts and repair orders to collect on a claim under this warranty. These receipts must satisfactorily show that Castrol Edge Professional motor oil was used; the mileage and date each time the motor oil was put into the vehicle; and the time and date that other services referred to in Section VI were performed.

VII. EXCLUSIONS

This warranty is subject to all of the following conditions and exclusions:

1. It does not cover vehicles modified for, or used in, competitive events.

2. It only covers factory - installed or OEM - specified engine parts.

3. It does not cover claims that are pre-existing conditions or the result of collision, negligent or intentional abuse, improper service or maintenance, defect in manufacturer, improper installation of any part, coolant contamination, or the failure to keep the motor oil and engine coolant at the levels prescribed by the manufacturer and herein.

BP Lubricants USA Inc. will not refuse payment for such claims that otherwise comply with the terms of this warranty, unless it demonstrates in good faith, that one or more of these causes resulted in the damage claimed.

4. This warranty is void if at the time you applied for this warranty, your vehicle had in excess of 100,000 miles.

5. If the subject vehicle is transferred to a second owner or second lessee, this warranty is also transferable to the second owner/lessee as long as the subject vehicle has been driven 100,000 miles or less and all oil change receipts as required herein are also transferred.

BP Lubricants USA Inc. has limited responsibilities under this warranty, specifically to the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged engine parts listed above in accordance with Section V above or, in the proper case, paying the deductible amount noted in, and in accord ance with Section VII (4) above.

However, some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. In addition, this warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Castrol® - SRF React DOT 3/4 Brake Fluid

Had pretty good brakes..... I thought. T1 VIR quickly showed me I did not have the brakes I thought I did. Solid rotors at 100mph and trying to stop do not add up well. Talked to my friend and got some pointers on what was working on his road racing Z. Brake fluid change to SRF React, Hawk Blues in front, Porterfield shoes on the back and Redline red grease to withstand the heat. Now I have brakes!
