Accurate boost pressure readings are critical for engine performance and protection. An easy to read boost pressure display will help you keep engine revs and boost pressure in the sweet spot for best performance, but also alert you to boost system problems so you can react accordingly. Excessive boost not only indicates a malfunction but can also cause engine damage. Boost that is too low will of course seriously affect performance. An accurate boost gauge will let you know exactly what the boost pressure is, so you can shut down your engine and/or help guide your diagnosis if there’s a change from normal. Auto Meter offers a wide range of boost/vacuum gauges in a selection of displays, functionality, styles, face colors, bezel finishes, lighting, and sizes so you can tailor the gauge to your specific needs.
Electric 270 degree full sweep analog gauges are powered by digitally controlled rugged stepper motor drives and lab grade solid state sensors for extreme precision. These are the best gauges available and the choice of top racing teams worldwide. They deliver the highest accuracy levels of any gauge type, combined with the durability and superior resolution of a traditional mechanical gauge and the safer operation of traditional electrics. Each analog electric gauge includes a peak recall button to recall the highest pressure reading since the memory was last cleared, and an adjustable warning indicator button that will turn on a warning light when the user selected set point is reached. Elite series and Sport-Comp II gauges feature a user programmable control circuit that can activate and deactivate vehicle systems like lights, fans, pumps, switches, and more.
Electric digital gauges have bright, LED lit microprocessor controlled displays for the ultimate in precise, high-tech readings. Choose a digital gauge when you need an eye-catching visual reference and an exact numeric reading. All electric gauges are equipped with an auto zero function to compensate for operation at varying altitudes. Mechanical analog gauges include 270 degree sweep movements, and durable nylon gearing for ruggedness and long lasting durability. They require no electrical power for operation so they’re an ideal choice for racing vehicles with no or low powered electrical systems.
Mechanical gauges come with 6 ft. of tubing, while all electric gauges include a MAP sensor and wiring. Comprehensive, illustrated installation instructions accompany each gauge and it’s covered by a limited 1-year warranty.
