AlphaRex® - Custom Headlights

Recieved way quicker then I had expected. Perfect fit and looks awesome. Lights the way much better then my old ones. I highly recommend paying the extra money for the AlphaRex brand.

Well, I should have waited to review these AlphaRex PRO-Series lights.. I found recently that they outer light does not have a replaceable bulb. This is strange as PRO-Series lights for other makes and models do have an opening and conventional bulb. Also, I tried to install LED upgrades to these (nothing large) and found that Alpharex made the opening too small for anything larger than a Halogen H7 bulb. So, I guess I will have to Dremel the holes to make the LEDs fit... Ugh! If you want to upgrade these lights to LED, either be prepared to modify your new $400 lights, or take a hard pass. They still look decent, but I would have preferred a more customer-friendly path to upgrading to LED bulbs.

These AlphaRex PRO-Series lights look like they came on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 from the factory. My truck looks as nice as a new truck, without the $80k plus price tag. The sequential turn signals are very bright and they command attention. The marker lights are bright enough you could drive by them alone (not recommended). The included H7 bulbs are good enough that I am considering not going with LED bulbs. This kit comes with the wiring and module required to enable daytime running lights, but I found that I didn't need to install the DRL for the lights to work. The high and low beams required no adjustment and were aimed right where I wanted them. None of the bolts or push fittings are included, so you'll need to re-use your old ones or head to the parts store. Start with these AlphaRex PRO-Series lights and you won't be disappointed. I made the mistake of choosing another brand before I purchased these directly from AlphaRex. They were out-of-stock on CarID at the time.

I've had the lights installed for a year now and they have been great. No issues with them and I love the way they bring the trucks to the modern era with DRLs and switchback lights. The install was simple if you have any automotive experience small or big. Only downside is I put LED bulbs in the housings and that effects the light output. Still plenty to see safely but something to keep in mind if you get the PRO series and plan to install LEDs at a later date.

These are fantastic lights. Purchased for my dad and they look slick af. Used them to convert his truck from sealed beam to this style light. High quality and worth every penny. Would highly recommend.

If you're looking to give your truck a new look then these are for you. Look great, easy to install, fairly easy to adjust. Super bright.

I installed the AlphaRex NOVA-Series Alpha-Black Sequential DRL Bar Projector LED Headlights on my own within a couple of hours. After that my standard 2014 Toyota Sienna Se was transformed with these amazingly high tech headlights!

I choose these headlights to replace the horrible looking, and horrible performance of my trucks stock halogen lights. Installation instructions could have been a bit more detailed, especially when removing the lower bumper piece. Once installed I tested them out in my garage, the DRL strip is dim, at best which is unfortunate since that is one reason I bought them. Turn signals look great though. Took them out for a drive at night and that is where these fell terribly short. I tried multiple times adjusting the beam pattern, but no matter what, it was not nearly the brightness of even stock LED headlights. While the color temperature was more pleasing, the light output was not anywhere near what I was hoping for. Side by side comparison with my stock Cherokees LED headlights confirmed this, I also put my drone in the air for an overhead look and the difference is obvious. While I do like the price and they do look nice, the LED bulbs they use will leave you regretting your purchase. The high beams are only a somewhat decent improvement over stock. I will have to spend more money to upgrade the bulbs to get it where they are acceptable for night driving. I can not and do not recommend these. I would suggest paying the little bit extra and buying either stock LED headlights or a higher grade aftermarket.

I used to have a 2010 F150 with Morimoto XB headlights...when I got my new truck, I gave that one to my son...only thing I hated about the new truck was the stock halogen lights. These AlphaRex Nova's are incredible!! So much light output compared to the stock lights. I actually think they output more light than the XB Hybrids that I had on my old truck. I added on new LED foglights plus have LED lights in my Raptor grille and the total output is awesome. I love the startup sequence on these things...so slick and cool. If I had to add one negative thing it would be the hookup for the DRL. The kit did not include a fuse tap so I had to go out and get one. On top of that, the instructions were very vague in terms of what is needed for the tap. First time installing I left the tap off (since I didn't have one) and the DRL bars were not working. Then when I got the tap and used it, I did not have an extra fuse to add and just used the one from the slot that I took...well that knocked out my turbo on the truck and caused an engine code. Finally, after watching the video from AlphaRex, I noticed that a 15 amp fuse was used in conjunction with the 10 amp that I replaced....once I added that fuse, my turbo came back on and DRL bars were staying on during daytime. The instructions need to be updated as this may happen to others. I would have given 5 stars but this process made it a royal P.I.T.A....so only 4 stars. If you have the extra money to spend and don't want to drop the extra bucks for the Morimoto lights, these are the next best thing. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade.
