Dodge Ram 1500 2013, Summit Full Width Black Powder Coated Front Winch HD Bumper with Grille Guard by ARB®. ARB’s engineers have designed and developed a Summit Winch Bumper to suit. Due to the size of the vehicle and its ability to tow up to 4.5 Tons (subject to vehicle specification) the Ram Summit Bumper has been designed to suit 12,000lb winches. To accommodate the larger winch sizes the lower pan of the Ram 1500 bumper is a different profile to other Summit bumper and features additional bracing to achieve the higher winch loads. Testing has been conducted via FEA simulations, testing with ARB’s 30T press and fitted bumper, and winch testing with ARB’s load cell to ensure that the bumper assembly, chassis mounts and chassis perform as expected under winch load conditions.

Chassis mounts have been utilized to ensure that the Summit bar is securely mounted to the chassis and the crush rate characteristics of the air bag system are retained. The bar mounts have had extensive Finite Element Analysis (FEA) testing and destructive crush testing to ensure that they do not deviate from the manufacturers chassis impact performance standards. Similar to previous ARB Deluxe Bars, the Tacoma Summit bar is finished in a satin black powder coat finish, which is paint-ready for those who would like to color match the Summit bar to the vehicle paint code color. A zinc rich primer is used for additional corrosion resistance.
