2011 Toyota Tacoma Bed Extenders

Please be aware that the required brackets are included with the extender - you do not need to buy separate brackets unless you plan to use one extender for more than one truck. It is great that this excellent accessory was made in America. It is well engineered, versatile, and easy to install. After you assemble the extender, attach the brackets to it, then adjust the extender to the proper width for your truck, use whatever you can find below the brackets to get the extender rails parallel to the truck bed (I used a large 3/8 drive socket and some wood shims). Next, carefully hold each bracket in place and use a pencil to outline at least 2 sides of the bracket. Remove the brackets from the extender, set the entire extender assembly aside, then place the bracket back against the outline to mark the holes for your drill. Doing so will deliver a parallel install for which you will be proud. I am still trying to think of a functional and decorative way to lock the extender to the truck bed - it is easy for anyone to lift it out of your truck and add to their own for only the price of a pair of brackets.
