2011 Ford Edge Custom Headlights Reviews

3 reviews
I purchased these for my wife's 2011 Edge Sport. They look great on the car but this comes with a few major flaws. First was the passenger side headlight plug. The plug for the headlight would not plug in and snap. I tried multiple times and even confirmed the original still plugged in. After further investigation it was found that the headlight assembly tabs inside the new headlight were protruding too far and stopping the plug from fully engaging. I had to notch both sides of the factory plug to get the plug fully seated. Only the passenger side had this issue luckily. The other plug on passenger side actually bottoms out on the body of car when you tighten the headlight assembly. This causes two issues. One this cannot be good longterm for the plug when car vibrates going down the road. And there is absolutely no way of changing the bulb without removing headlight again. This is true for all bulbs though. None are serviceable with headlight assembly in the car. Make sure everything is plugged in before installing headlights, you cannot plug in the plugs after they are installed. I actually had to remove one of the harness brackets so the drivers side lug would fit. It was as tight as guitar string when I tried to tighten all the screws And now for the number one major flaw, you cannot adjust the low beams without removing the headlights, adjusting, then assemble again. This process will need repeated until the headlights are aimed. Looking back I should have done all the aiming with the bumper off but time did not allow me too wait until nighttime to put the car back together. The instructions say nothing about this, actually there are no instructions for specific vehicles. Only instructions are on this website and they basically say remove anything in the way of removing headlights. I would encourage anyone to stay away from these. This is so frustrating that a company can get away with producing such junk.
