2006 Toyota 4Runner Custom Headlights

These headlights came relatively quickly. The mounting tabs aligned pretty well, like you'd expect an OEM headlight to align. The bulb sockets were terribly out of spec, however. The marker sockets were too small and needed some minor filing to open them up, even then the openings were too thick for the tabs on the factory bulb sockets which resulted in some of the tabs breaking off. The projectors have a very uneven beam pattern. The horizontal cutoff is outstanding, as good as OEM, but there are stripes in the light projection that are blatantly apparent while driving at night. These issues were identical with the Sylvania halogen bulbs, GTR LED bulbs, and GTR HID bulbs. These three bulbs did not have these problems with factory headlights. There are several blemishes on the black paint inside the headlight. There are various paint cracks, shiny spots, and other blemishes inside the headlight. Both headlights also showed minor fogging after a heavy rainstorm, which the OEM did not experience during their entire 12 year life span. OEM headlights will cost you $470 for the pair. If you honestly care about quality and are willing to put in the money, time, and effort, then I strongly suggest buying OEM lamps and painting the inside yourself. There are numerous guides online that will guide you through this. If you don't have the tools, time, of budget for it, then this will definitely be an okay budget option.
