Material. What is Alcantara? It is a unique and innovative covering material, the result of a unique and proprietary technology. Alcantara is composed of about 68% polyester and 32% polyurethane for giving increased durability and stain resistance. The appearance and tactile feel of the material is similar to that of suede, and it’s easy to confuse the two. That is until the suede is a couple of years old and starts to get shiny, crack and fade. Production of Alcantara is actually done in a carbon-neutral factory, and doesn’t rely on animal products. The complex non-woven manufacturing process yields a supremely soft, long-wearing surface that is now used as an original seat covering material by such as BMW, Maserati, Lamborghini and Audi, and more. Give your seats a freshening, or protect the seats in your new car with a set of Alcantara Custom Seat Covers. The rich, suede-like center sections are flanked by sides of long-wearing, luxurious leatherette. Custom-fitted to your vehicle, they install in minutes and will be difficult to distinguish from original upholstery.
Cover the Seats, don't Hinder the Functionality. Coverking designed Custom Seat Covers to deliver maximum comfort and keep the vehicle seats' features, such as the airbags, seatbelts, and even electric massage, fully functional. It was of vital importance in cover creation process to provide the client with full functionality of the car seats. That's why Coverking's Custom Seat Covers are compatible with seats having integrated airbags, headrest, armrest and console covers. Custom Seat Covers for middle and rear seat rows are also available, offering an option of folding down seat back and a free access to the trunk. Unlike simple cutouts made in other seat covers, the flap prevents wrinkles, preserving the shape of the seat. It is made of the same material as the seat cover to match completely. What makes these Custom Seat Covers distinctive from others is that they can be easily removed along with the seat from the vehicle, remaining on. With the seat cover on, seat backs and bottoms can be moved and adjusted inside the car as well.
The Coverking company was founded in 1986 in Southern California by an Industrial and Electrical Engineer, that previously worked in Aerospace Defense industry. Utilizing the latest CAD/CAM systems borrowed from Aerospace industry, the company managed to shorten the manufacturing process from nearly a month to nearly a single day. Since its launch, the company made a huge leap and has purchased several automotive companies later, some of which dated back to 1974. The company started with Dash Covers products and extended its products line with Custom Floor Mats, Custom Car Covers, Custom Seat Covers and Custom Sunshields. Growing production volumes did not change the company's main focus – creating high quality products that will serve their best to the customers and their vehicles.
