The A/C compressor on your Volvo V70 has a pump rotor that is driven by the engine via a belt. The A/C clutch is an electromagnetic unit that helps to engage or disengage the compressor on demand. If some of the components of your car’s air conditioning system start malfunctioning, you may be left face to face with summer heat. There is a number of common air conditioner problems experienced by Volvo V70 owners and many of them can be related to a bad compressor or clutch.
