A medium-duty truck, the International DuraStar was revealed back in 2002 as the successor of the International 4000 Series. As for the layout, both 4300 and 4400 base models employ 4×2 one and its low profile version, though the 4400 is available as a mid-cab tractor (4×2) and also with a 6×4 layout. Its cab is spacious (82” wide) and convenient; dashboard, steering wheel, and seats are designed specifically to decrease the driver's fatigue. As for the on-road safety, the DuraStar's panoramic swept-back windshield improves the driver's road vision, besides being heated it makes the vision clear in any weather conditions. All models are equipped with air drum brakes with ABS.
