There are many cool air intake kits on the market, but how many deliver what they promise? All claim to position the air filter where it will draw in cool air. Some include barriers that are supposed to shield the air filter from engine heat. Only Volant features a sealed Cool Airbox that thoroughly insulates and protects the air filter from engine heat, moisture, dust and debris.

The engineers at Volant designed the Cool Airbox to house a large free-flowing Pro 5 air filter. The Pro 5 air filter, constructed of high grade cotton filter media with 5 layers of protection, is washable and reusable. It reduces air restriction and increases engine output by using precision pleat geometry that optimizes airflow throughout the intake system. The airbox air intake is located so the air filter can only draw in cooler, ambient air. Access to the air filter for servicing is provided by an attractive polished aluminum or carbon fiber look lid.

From the airbox, cool air proceeds to your engine through Volant's Cross-Link polyethylene air duct. Unlike OEM air ducts that have sound baffles and make awkward bends, the Volant air duct is sculptured to give the engine less restrictive breathing, incorporating larger diameters and unique bends that can't be duplicated with metal ducts. (Also, unlike metal ducts, the polyethylene Volant air duct doesn't conduct engine heat right into the intake airflow, thereby defeating the purpose of a cool air intake!) The end result is maximum airflow velocity and quicker throttle response.

Every Volant Cool Air Intake Kit comes complete with everything necessary for installation, including comprehensive installation instructions. All clamps and connectors are made from quality materials. The Silicone connectors provide flexibility while maintaining strength and thermal stability; they won't crack or deform over time like rubber connectors. The marine-grade stainless steel clamps provide a solid seal that won't loosen or deteriorate.

TMG Performance Products, LLC (Volant Performance) warrants to the original retail purchaser that its products are free from defects in material and workmanship for up to 1 year (4-years or 100,000 miles for PowerCore filters), while purchaser owns the vehicle upon which such product(s) were originally installed. Volant Performance's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of parts that are determined by Volant Performance to be defective, or refund of the original purchase price, at Volant Performance's option, of the alleged defective product. Volant Performance Donaldson PowerCore® Warranty- Volant Performance ® backs all no-maintenance PowerCore® air filters to be free of defect for 4 years or 100,000 miles. Volant Performance® obligation under this warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of parts that are determined by Volant Performance® to be defective, or refund of the products original purchase price, at Volant Performance's® option, of the alleged defective product.

No other warranty, expressed or implied, is applicable to this product. Gain In Power and Helped With Mileage

I definitely could feel a power in the take off and when towing heavy loads it sits 200 rpm’s lower then normal and my mileage has definitely improved will pay for itself it 4-5 months, Didn’t fit exactly perfect but it works

Installed this on my 2017 Nissan Frontier hoping to maybe gain a little mpg but no real changes to note after about 10 fill ups and trying different driving styles still no real gain It is very loud in the cab when you do get on the gas or towing in hill country. Its very noticeably louder in the cab to the point if I tow my travel trailer I'll install my old air box.

Awesome Intake

I bought this intake for my 2010 Nissan Xterra. It fits perfect, it looks awesome and the sound is really really nice. Its really loud when you hit the gas hard.

Volant Air Intake

Sure made a difference in power like they claim sounds tough . On my 2012 Xterra in order to fit it in I had to bend down the bracket where the stock air box mounts at the rear and bend the brake lines slightly so they would not rub on air box. The Volant kit I got does not use the rear mount like the stock one it just mounts with 2 bolts on the wheel well great product though looks good under the hood.
