Development: They based Soul Performance McLaren downpipes around 3.5" piping for the best possible sound and support for increased horsepower. If you plan on tuning the vehicle or running upgrade turbos, Soul Performance downpipes are designed to support anything you can throw at them. They made a conscious decision to retain the factory McLaren heat shields for their proven effectiveness and a clean, factory-like installation and finish. Incorporating HJS HD 200 cell catalytic converters - designed to withstand extreme abuse - let you hear your turbos clear as day with no check engine lights or noxious fumes. You'll enjoy the cabin presence and beautiful engine note from the 3.8L power plant with no droning in the cabin, only an intoxicating mechanical chorus.
HJS HD 200 Cell Catalysts: They use the highest quality catalytic converters available, known for their industry leading flow and durability. They are efficient enough to meet strict EURO 4 emission standards while still allowing for an increase in flow - all without a check engine light. The HD design uses premium triple foil winding for maximum strength. The brazing stripe is an extra feature in the interest of durability - it prevents the core from moving or experiencing any damage from sustained high horsepower abuse. They use a large and appropriately sized catalyst to allow for maximum gains - no compromises here!
Construction: Each set of McLaren downpipes is assembled out of thick-wall 0.065" T304L stainless steel and rigorously quality checked in-house. Smooth mandrel bends and thick flanges ensure product longevity. Each set of Sport Downpipes is tested in a fixture to ensure perfect fitment.

Soul Performance® was formed by a team of auto enthusiasts aimed at developing incredibly sounding and performing exhaust products. It is located in a 15,000 sq ft facility north of Philadelphia in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, where it designs, engineers, manufactures and tests its components. Soul Performance utilizes aerospace manufacturing technologies, enabling it to build exhaust parts with extreme precision down to +/- 0.002 inches that is out of the limits of many exhaust manufacturers.
