Lightweight Forged Build.
The brand’s MV51 series, also known as the Motorsport series, includes monoblock and multi-piece high-performance forged wheels with racing-inspired designs.
Monoblock rims and the center sections of multi-piece rims start life as a chunk of 6061-T6 aerospace-grade billet aluminum, which is heated and pressed by a 10,000-ton forging press. In these 3-piece wheels, the barrels are manufactured from 6061 spun aluminum.
Forging makes the metal denser and less porous. This process allows for remarkable strength with less material needed, resulting in notably lightweight wheels. It's all about added stiffness without added weight.
Why does wheel weight matter? With lighter wheels, you get reduced unsprung weight and rotational inertia. This translates into less stress on the suspension, making it easier for the shocks and struts to maintain tire traction. You get more responsive steering and improvements in acceleration, braking, cornering, and road holding.
