PIAA was first established as a Japanese company in 1963 but opened a United States-based subsidiary by the same name that is located in Oregon. Although unflinching in its commitment to research and development into lighting technology, PIAA's focus has shifted to its expanding business in high output bulbs and LED lighting that makes driving in inclement weather, low visibility conditions, and off-road situations as safe as possible.
Today, PIAA's range of products deals with automotive and powersports lighting solutions. Automotive bulbs and lamps are provided alongside powersports bulbs and lamps, with the only real difference between the two being the performance levels of the lighting itself. To complement these lamps and bulbs, different kits, brackets, and other accessories such as mounting bar clamps, lens protectors, and even sports horns are also sold under the PIAA banner.
All in all, there isn't much that will help with visibility that PIAA isn't already taking into account and marketing with their name attached. The lenses of PIAA lamps and bulbs are specially designed to withstand the rigors of off-road racing as well as regular highway debris and hazards. Furthermore, the company prides itself in how easy to install its light kits are, with the supplementary mounting kits making the process even easier still and resulting in professional looking installations at the end of the day.
More recently, PIAA's advancements have been to LED technology, where they now boast the highest quality and longest-lasting LEDs on the market. By projecting off multi-surface reflectors, PIAA's LED lamps offer better illumination than their halogen counterparts while at the same time drawing less power, but still providing a precise beam pattern. With the strength of their commitment to research and development across their multiple global laboratories, it is a safe bet that PIAA will continue to lead the way in technological advancements to lighting.
For the most part, PIAA's success in the global market has largely been on the back of its technological advancements that are nothing less than staggering. The company operates various laboratories across the world, and carries out cutting-edge research on lighting that is then brought to bear in its designs for future products. Over the years, PIAA's advances in halogen lamps, high intensity discharge lamps, and lamp beam patterns have produced a variety of different lines of products, such as the Xtreme White, Ion Crystal, Night-Tech, and Super Plasma GT-X bulbs.

Really nice fog lamps. Bought them for fog and snow driving. None yet...One thing I can say is if your installing them on a bull bar, put them on the bar first. Be prepared you will need to drill a hole in the firewall. I spent 45 minutes deciding where. Whether on or off they look amazing. Would buy them again and also refer them to a friends or relative.
I was looking for something to protect my lights from stones being kicked up from the road. These were exactly what I was looking for.

These lights look awesome. I installed them on my bullbar as extra Off-road spotlights. I was actually surprised at how bright these lights really are. They shine deep into the night and give excellent visibility. It is much brighter then the normal high beams on my truck.

I installed the driving lights and aimed them a couple of degrees to the right and down and use them any time the headlights are needed. Being well focused, they are not irritating to oncoming drivers while at the same time providing much need illumination. I am very well pleased with the lights!
