General Motors began developing its first compact cars already in 1956, focusing attention on three divisions at once: Oldsmobile, Buick, and Pontiac. The work on a new Oldsmobile started in 1957 and it took three years for the project to be unveiled. The series, called the F-85, shared the same Y-body 112-inch wheelbase platform with the Pontiac Tempest and Buick Special. It was decided to equip the first production line with base V8 engines and a three-speed Hydramatic. Its three body types were represented by two- and four-door sedan, four-door station wagon and a later-introduced two-door Cutlass coupe.

Obviously, when it’s time to get your hands on an old-school classic, the question of parts replacement stands on top of the essential tasks list. No matter whether exterior or interior repairs are involved, the progress depends on a quality and type of components you use; you’ll definitely be displeased with some junk yard pieces of metal the underground ‘dealers’ might offer you. Meanwhile, the modern car supermarkets are likely to have no older-stock parts in their inventory. We offer a way out - take your laptop and visit our virtual store with tons of Oldsmobile F-85 body parts. The range of hoods, trunks, bumpers, header panels and interior parts will surely pleasantly surprise you and the prices accompanied by material quality will, no doubt, make you want to come back for more.
