Universal Silver 1/2" Steering Wheel Hub Extension Spacer (SRK-500S) by NRG Innovations®. Designed specifically to add a small amount of depth to your Quick Release Steering Wheel set up. Perfect for adding horn button clearance. Can also be used to add a 74mm bolt pattern steering wheel to a 6x70mm hub, or vice versa.

Installation

All products require professional installation. Buyer understands that some products may require modifications for correct fitment. Minor adjustments may be necessary as part of the normal installation process. All hoods require hood pins for safety reasons. All carbon fiber products will not sustain any force or weight, for they could be cracked by such force and weight. NRG Innovations has made an effort to produce all its aftermarket products to fit the original factory vehicles as closely as possible. However, some occasional prepping may be necessary for an ideal fit. The buyer needs to perform these steps to his/her satisfaction before installation. If the buyer wishes to paint the products, he or she must pre-fit the parts to the vehicle before painting to ensure proper fit. There are absolutely no returns on painted products.

Can I use this to bring my OEM steering wheel closer for more leg room on my 2005 Subaru WRX STi, while still retaining all stock functionality?

Hello, I am not sure it would bring the wheel closer. Any steering wheel functions you have will not be able to be used after installation.
