NRG shift knobs are not up to par by my standards. Nice looking knob, heavy but sloppy. Comes with 3 different plastic inserts that create their own thread as it screws on to your shifter. Loose from the start. I got it so tight that I couldn't then no more. Still feels loose on my shifter. Why couldn't they just a metal threaded insert? That way it might fitt properly. Waste of money, do not but NRG shift knobs, or any shift knob with a plastic insert.
I love the way it feels, and my shifting is a lot better, faster, and smoother. The only cons are that there is a gap between my shift boot and knob, and also there’s a little play room in the knob where it screws in on the inside. I’ve tried tightening the inside piece and it still doesn’t work but not really noticeable when driving. Other than that nice-looking mod for the price.
