True dual exhausts are the idealized system for the performance driver. Nothing sounds like a V8 motor with dual exhausts, and that stereophonic burble in your ears when you stand behind one at idle. An H-pipe, one that allows some exhaust gases to spill from one side to the other, can add some bottom end scavenging without reducing power at nearer the redline; it’s a win-win deal.
