Got a 2005 Tahoe 5.7 Vortec. The factory originals gave out at 130,000 mi. Replaced them with the Fel-Pro Plastic version because of the very common "mystery" coolant leak. That solved the problem for about 5 years. Couple of months ago and now 220,000 mi. The low coolant level problem was back along with a rough idle and oil fouled plugs. I was pretty sure that the intake gaskets had gave way again. I had heard about the new Fel-Pro upgraded version, so I ordered a set. I had already pulled the Intake off to do the cleaning and inspection etc. Sure enough the plastic gaskets were toast. Plastic and rubber separation everywhere. Leaking coolant into the back 2 cylinders, and, check this out... It was pulling oil from the lifter valley into the other cylinders, and fouling the plugs. The Intake runners had a lot of oil in them. I new that I had found the problem. As soon as you see the new up-graded Fel-Pro gaskets you will know that you made the right choice in spending the extra money. GET-EM!! Don't waste your money or time by getting the plastic ones. These look like they will last forever. This is to big of a job to be worrying about an extra $20.00. All of the extra gaskets and sealant are included in the kit. Good instructions included, Can be done in about 5-6 hrs. If you are moderate wrencher. My job came out perfect, Good Luck!!!

Great kit that has everything that almost has everything you need. The gaskets are top notch and they are all included, but there could be a bit more silicone RTV included. That is the only negative thing that I can say. You need to use just a little more silicone than is supplied. A little inconvenience is all.

This product is better than the regular stock. I would definitely buy it again if I ever even have too. The installation well you know if you have built an engine before. I do wish though that they can put one extra o-ring, and valve stem in the package, for the same price.

This product is way better than the stock is. I was rebuilding my 1992 5.7L engine, the stock was a little pricey but this was better it came with everything I needed. Made out of different stuff then stock, and looks good too.

Seal seems to be better quality than previous seal that came with gasket set that leaked on installation . Also the plastic installation part is a big plus that came with new seal.

The new cylinder head bolts arrived quickly and were an exact fit. There was no problem reaching proper torque during install. I used a parts specialist to help lookup multiple parts for this project which saved me considerable time. CARiD sets the standard for online parts ordering service.

Durable gasket. Worth the extra money stopped all my leaks from the valve cover area.
