Dedenbear® BV1 - Bleed Valve

Bleed Valve by Dedenbear®. Air Bleed Valve made from Brass. Originally designed for Dedenbear water pumps, this device can be used to quickly and cleanly bleed air from any cooling system. Special oil and gas resistant seal allows the BV1 to vent air from any gearbox, dry sump tank, or other low pressure application. No tools are required; simply press the button to relieve pressure, then release the button. Brass body and stainless-steel spring and snap ring prevent corrosion. Fits 1/8 inch NPT thread.

Dedenbear® products was started in 1979 by Debra and Dennis Reid as a part time business. Debra has a degree from Chico State University and was responsible for the accounting aspects when the company first started. Dennis has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. His employment background was as a design engineer for Fabco Axle Division of Kelsey Hayes Corp., R&D engineer in charge of instrumentation at Transamerica DeLaval Diesel Engines, and Nuclear Weapons Testing instrumentation Senior Engineer for EG&G corporation.
