AEM has extensive experience improving exhaust airflow to your engine. The engineers at AEM know that reducing restriction results in increased horsepower. Now AEM has devoted its considerable expertise to reducing restriction on the exhaust side. This stainless steel turbo-back exhaust system was developed on the dyno to increase exhaust flow and produce considerable gains in horsepower and torque. The numbers with the exhaust system alone are impressive, but even more power can be gained with the addition of an AEM cold air intake system.
When they ener. They knogineered this system, AEM didn’t just concentrate on poww that you buy an aftermarket exhaust system primarily to boost performance, but they also know that it has to sound right, be relatively easy to install, and last. The AEM turbo-back exhaust system has a sporty sound that’s not so loud that it drones and resonates through the cab, but just sharp enough that you know it’s not stock.
Even though the pipes are larger diameter, AEM retained the factory routing paths and clearances between critical components. All pipes are mandrel bent for smooth bends and to make sure the pipe maintains its size and shape throughout the entire length. Tubes that aren’t mandrel bent can lose a significant percentage of their diameter in sharp bends. All connections feature OEM quality 3/8” stainless steel flanges and O-rings. This system retains the factory catalytic converter and features brushed stainless steel exhaust tips. It comes with everything necessary for a hassle free installation, including detailed instructions with photographs.
Finally, even the best performing exhaust system isn’t worth a thing if it rots away in a few years. To make sure this won’t happen, AEM constructs the muffler and pipes from high grade stainless steel. AEM warrants this exhaust system to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years on 304 stainless steel components and 3 years on 409 stainless steel parts.
