2017 Chevy Impala Wood Dash Kits

Looks amazing; albeit the wood surface is buried under 1/8" of what appears to be optical grade, crystal clear polyurethane bed-coat. Just a few tiny gas bubbles, I would call what I've seen in the 1 kit negligible. The wood grain looks to be Brazilian rose; Dalbergia Nigra. And a very select grain: run, color, pattern & features. This is high-wow wood! Installation is not for the in-experienced. It is a craftsman's task, for a person with plenty of experience with high tack contact mastic tape placement: once the adhesive is exposed, it will collect dirt, hairs, and all manner of foreign material. Only release backing film when ready to immediately position & make bond. Bond strength on the 3M Urethane tape is strong. Once placed, on a properly cleaned & oil free plastic surface, especially of using the adhesion promoter solvent pen: any attempt to remove / re-position = de-lamination & worse. This is the great caveat: plan ahead, pre-fit to each surface, and be very meticulous. Super unforgiving process. You only get 1 chance here! The die-pattern of the parts on average is slightly under-dimension, so each piece should be carefully centered, or uneven gaps will happen. The clear urethane bed coat is so soft and thick, that an ink pen would not damage it. On the whole, great value & quality, but no printed instructions; perhaps best left to a professional for installation. If you want the most, then buy the full kit.
