2000 Chevy Corvette Wood Dash Kits

The product looks great. Jaguar has wood and leather where Corvette has plastic. This gives the Corvette a better look. Installation is key. The pieces have to have been warmed enough to be almost floppy and bendable to adhere to curves. The area must be cleaned properly with IPA (isopropyl alcohol). The kit comes with small towelettes about one inch square. I bought a litre and used a micro fibre cloth to clean thoroughly let dry and clean again. The kit also comes with stip pens to apply 3M adhesive promoter contained in them. Instead, I bought the small foil packs with the square of sponge containing the promoter. The promoter is vital and you can buy 3 packs online. Do not let it have time to dry. Too expensive but otherwise I'm satisfied. It's better coverage than other producers kits but it lacks the one piece to cover between the dash and the back of the gearshift. See my install changes above. If people use the IPA and micro fibre cloth to clean and the 3M sponge piece foil packs you wouldn't get complaints about adhesion. It's easier than the pens. I don't think you need include the IPA towelettes. They are not sufficient. But I think you would be wise to switch from the 3M pens to the foil packs.
