Yes. LIQUID WRENCH will also reduce friction, reduce wear, and protect from corrosion.
Yes. Company LIQUID WRENCH Garage Door Lube (part no. LGL10) is specifically designed for garage doors, sliding doors and roller doors.
LIQUID WRENCH will not harm a standard OEM automotive paint finish, but it could damage after market paint finishes or aged OEM paints with deteriorated clear coatings. Pre test surface to be safe.
Yes. All LIQUID WRENCH lubricants will help prevent metals from rusting. Maximum protection is provided by Company Rust and Corrosion Inhibiting Lubricant.
Yes. Company do have a chain lube that is a fast drying compound that leaves little residue for long lasting wet lubrication. Also, Company dry lubricant is very useful on a bicycle chain for extra-dusty environments, helping minimize dust and dirt pickup.
Yes. Company do recommend you apply heat prior to the use of LIQUID WRENCH to soften the thread locking compound.
For plastic on plastic applications, like PVC, Company recommend the use of a dry lube that will reduce wear. Company LIQUID WRENCH Silicone Spray can also be used for plastic-on-plastic lubrications where a wet lubricating film is desired.
Yes. LIQUID WRENCH products are designed for all common use temperatures from well below zero to over 200º F, depending upon the formula.
Greases are usually in a tube or tub, so that they can be applied through the use of a grease gun or other tool. Greases are higher viscosity, semi-solid materials, with thickeners to hold the grease in place which allows for long term, harsh-condition lubrication. Liquid lubricants do not typically contain thickening materials like greases, allowing them to be a less viscous, flow-able liquid. Liquid lubricants can be sprayed from a can or squirted out through a dropper bottle. Either way, they are easily applied in tight spaces and are less visible than a grease would be. This makes lubricants useful for many indoor and outdoor applications.
LIQUID WRENCH dates back to 1941. It’s always been made in the USA and is now manufactured right outside of Charlotte in Indian Trail, North Carolina.
Company technology is designed, manufactured, and sold by RSC Chemical Solutions. We have an in-house team of chemists that formulate Company products based on consumer research and proven with extensive testing.
As an example, our LIQUID WRENCH line contains Cerflon® which is a ceramically reinforced PTFE for superior lubrication properties.
CERFLON® is a registered trademark and brand owned by CERAMIC REINFORCED TECHNOLOGIES.
Our products are safe on most metal and plastic surfaces, but should avoid being sprayed on woods, cloth or other materials prone to staining. Please refer to Company SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and label instructions for more specific information. As a precaution, Company recommend pre-testing a small area of the surface that is out of sight.
LIQUID WRENCH is safe on all paints, epoxies, or carbon fibers, but performance may vary depending upon the quality of the surface being treated. Company recommend pre-testing prior to application.
An aerosol can may stop spraying when there is no more propellant (gas) left in the can, most likely due to expired product more than 2 years past the date of manufacture.
Penetrating oils are used to free stuck nuts, bolts, locks, etc. that usually contain rust and corrosion. Lubricating oils are used to prevent and protect those parts from becoming stuck in the first place, while also quieting squeaks or noise that comes from metal parts rubbing together.
