CURT® 13416 - Class 3 Square Concealed Trailer Hitch with 2" Receiver Opening (4000/600 Weight Capacity)

Looks great and ultimately easy to install. May need to people as it is extremely heavy. I just propped something under and connected one bolt at a time only because I didn’t have a second hand. Only issue is the muffler brackets are in the way. You must disconnect both sides and drop the muffler to get it connected.

Very easy to install on my Hybrid, the only issue I had was getting a torque wrench on one side do to the frame being in the way. Other than that it was easy to do.

Perfect fit for my 2019 RAV4 Hybrid. Installation took me about 30 minutes.

It was relatively easy to install. Looks great, hardly noticeable and feels very secure. Remind or inform clients that it may be necessary to remove the tow "hook" before installing the hitch.

2019 RAV4 Hybrid. After reading the CURT reviews about damage during shipping, I specifically asked that the receiver be padded to protect from shipping damage. The box arrived torn and smashed mid-box on the receiver. No padding. There was a big chunk of metal chipped off the receivers front corner. The CARiD return and replacement went smoothly. The second CURT hitch box was smashed and torn, again. (It was shipped from a different location than the first). There was foam padding but it was not secured to the receiver and end plates. Just rolling around in the box. The receiver corner was chipped off on the bottom - almost out of sight, so I decided to not ask for a replacement and painted it myself. Is it hopeless to expect to receive an undamaged hitch and good packaging to protect against damage? I think so. It looks like the CURT went to great care to weld and paint the hitch but fails to package it properly. Installed in about 30 minutes with the help of a padded floor jack, by myself. I needed the 19mm (FYI: 19mm = 3/4 inch) dog bone torque wrench extender on the passenger side. It is a very tight space. I purchased the dog bone extender from Zoro.com for $20.73, including S&H. (3/4 inch, 3/8 inch drive). CARiD should sell the dog bone torque extender for this hitch. To get the correct torque - you will need it on the RAV4 Hybrid.

Fit is great and it looks very natural on my RAV4. The only concern was the receiver was poking throug the box it came in, so a small area on the receiver was missing paint. I touched up the area with black paint to prevent any rust. Great, the fit was right on the mark, I’m sure it will serve all my needs.
