I am thoroughly impressed by this product. The cover fits my steering wheel perfectly and I love the stitched look - makes it look original. The color matches my interior well and I have gotten plenty of compliments. Just because it's an old car doe's not mean that the inside should not look good, and this Wheelskins steering wheel cover does just that. Highly recommend!

Good, Economical Cover Solution

Wheelskins® AX-01 - Original One-Color Black Steering Wheel Cover

End result is very good on the wheel rim. Due to generic fit, it's not so great at the wide spokes that my wheel has. I would be nice to have a custom-cut to completely cover the spokes, but that will cost much, much more. The feel of the leather cover on the wheel rim is great, almost OEM. It is extremely tight-fitting and feels good in the hands. The stitching came out great, nice and tight. The installation is relatively easy, but needs lots of patience. At first it seemed the cover was too small, and wouldn't come together at the lacing. But snugging the lacing firmly closes it up nicely. The biggest trick is to keep the lacing untangled as you go. It's easy for it to knot on itself due to the wax or coating that is on the lacing. I had to back up a couple of times around the spokes as I got messed up on the order of lacing the holes and double stitching before and after the spokes. It took me a little over 2 hours to complete, but I was trying to take my time and do the job right. It is very tedious, and you need patience to keep it looking like a quality job.

The steering wheel looks great, but the time estimate to install you give must be for someone that has done this a few times not the first. It went well, but took about 3-4 hours.
