There are many reasons why a paint job doesn’t turn out right, poor preparation and mixing products from different paint companies among them. Fail to properly prep the surface or use incompatible coatings and you can be left with fish eyes, wrinkling, bubbling, bleeding, peeling or any number of other finish problems. When you get these kinds of results, you have no choice but to go back and start over. To make sure you get great results every time, VHT has developed a Premium General Purpose System, which includes everything you need to get professional looking results, right in your garage.
Surface prep is a critical first step for any paint job, but it can be time consuming and leftover residue can still foul the job. VHT Prep Spray is an easy to use aerosol cleaner and degreaser that effectively removes dirt, road tar, grease, wax, and oil from any surface without leaving a film residue. It flashes off in less than 5 minutes so you can start painting. Once the surface has been prepared it’s time for VHT Prime Coat. Prime Coat is specially formulated to fill scratches or pin holes caused by sanding or body fillers, while at the same time providing a quality foundation with excellent adhesion for any enamel, acrylic or synthetic lacquer top coats. Prime Coat can be used on metal, fiberglass, masonry, wood, and most plastic surfaces, and it’s ideal for automotive, marine, aviation, home, farm and industrial use. It dries in 30-45 minutes for sanding purposes and it’s available in multiple colors, so you can match your primer with your top coat.
For that all important top coat, there’s VHT Quick Coat Enamel, a premium quality coating that provides excellent coverage and durability in both interior and exterior applications. Quick Coat prevents rust and corrosion, is lead free and ozone safe, and most importantly, delivers a rich, weather resistant glossy finish you’ll be proud to show off, on wood, metal, sealed plaster and masonry surfaces. Available in your choice of colors in both gloss and flat finish, Quick Coat also comes in a clear formulation, for that finishing touch and an extra level of protection. Quick Coat dries to the touch in 30 minutes, and dries thoroughly overnight; no curing required.
The VHT Premium General Purpose System is a high-performance coating system that provides the ultimate in protection and quality. All coatings come in convenient, easy to use cans and all products may be purchased separately.
