Universal Brakeman® IV Digital Brake Control by Tekonsha®. The Tekonsha Brakeman IV digital brake control is designed to handle from one to four braking axles and includes a digital display. The digital display indicates the amount of voltage power being delivered to the brakes and assists in accurately adjusting the trailer brakes for city or highway driving. Separate adjustment controls (Output & Sync) allow for not only the different weights (Output) of trailers, but also the speed of activation (Sync) depending on your driving style.

Limitations on the Warranty. This limited warranty does not cover: (a) normal wear and tear; (b) damage through abuse, neglect, misuse, or as a result of any accident or in any other manner; (c) damage from misapplication, overloading, or improper installation, including welds; (d) improper maintenance and repair; and (e) product alteration in any manner by anyone other than Cequent, with the sole exception of alterations made pursuant to product instructions and in a workmanlike manner.

Remedy Limits. Repair or replacement is your sole remedy under this limited warranty or any other warranty related to the product. Cequent will not be liable for service or labor charges incurred in removing or replacing a product or any incidental or consequential damages of any kind.

Assumption of Risk. You acknowledge and agree that any use of the product for any purpose other than the specified use(s) stated in the product instructions is at your own risk.

Governing Law. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you also may have other rights which vary from state to state. This limited warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to rules pertaining to conflicts of law. The state courts located in Oakland County, Michigan shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes relating to this warranty.

No As Simple

Tekonsha® 902501 - Prodigy™ RF Electronic Proportional Brake Control

This controller only works PROVIDING! that your 7 way bargman plug coming off the tow vehicle is setup for a brake controller. I currently run a Jeep, installed the 7 way plug to a 4 way plug off the tow vehicle. I need to have at least 12 volts running to the controller for the module to work. So, I'm stuck with a $300 door stop. Not sure how to proceed.

So Easy

Tekonsha® 3015 - 2-Plug Brake Control Wiring Adapter

This made installing my brake controller so easy! It took only about 10 minutes with this plug and saved me over $60.00. I called around to different garages and they wanted any where from $60.00 to $180.00 to install my brake controller. With this plug I was able to do it myself and from start to finish I'm sure it was no more than 10 minutes.

Tekonsha® 90885 Brake Controller

Tekonsha® 90885 - Prodigy™ P2 Electronic Proportional Brake Control

I purchased this to use in my 2015 4Runner. I works flawlessly. Installation was a snap. I also purchased the 4Runner specific Tekonsha® 3040 2-Plug Brake Control Wiring Adapter. The hardest past of this was deciding where to mount the Controller. I decided on screwing it (screws provided) to the bottom of the dash nearly under the steering column. There is a bit of a return in the molder plastic that's about 3/4" wide. I mounted the "U" shaped bracket (included) at that point and installed the controller. I can easily reach the manual lever if need be. I can't easily see the controller's digital readout however, once set, there's no need. I was concerned I would hit it with my foot getting in and out but not once have I even been careful and have never bumped it in that location. Set up was easy with clear instructions.

I purchased this adapter to ease my installation of the Tekonsha® 90885 Prodigy™ P2 Electronic Brake Control. Not wanting to cut and splice wires in my new 4Runner, I was happy to find that CARiD had this in stock. Installation was a snap. Once I found the pre-wired female connector that Toyota puts into their 4Runners now, all I had to do was plug this adapter into my vehicle and plug the other end into the brake controller and I was all set. No cutting, no splicing, plus, everything worked!
