The strut tower bar is arguably one of the least expensive upgrades that can provide a very high degree of benefit that is felt immediately after installing. Often one of the first modifications performed on a vehicle, the strut tower brace improves handling and stability.
The Sustec Tower Bar has been very popular due to its low price and high functionality. By connecting the strut towers and creating a balance, the shocks are prevented from independently moving and causing small changes in suspension geometry.
Reinforced Lip, Extruded Centershaft
While simple in appearance, the design of the centershaft features significant engineering knowledge and experience put into it. The construction is reinforced extruded aluminum, which features dual reinforced lips on the underside, as well as tapered ends for additional rigidity. The centershaft is very lightweight, so weight is not added to reinforce the chassis.
Adjustable Preload
It is always recommended to raise the vehicle when installing tower bars so that the load of the shock uppermounts on the shock towers is relieved and balanced out. When raised, and the tower bar is placed onto the vehicle, the preload can be adjusted and set. After it is bolted on and the car is lowered, each shock tower will have equal load and will prevent independent movements of each shock.
This will provide a noticeable difference after installing. If tower bar is installed on a car that is not raised, great benefits will be missed.
Ultra Durable Steel End Plates
The end plates are 100% steel for maximum strength and durability. Budget tower bars commonly use aluminum end plates, which are subject to deformation and breaking.
Tanabe 100% steel end plates are engineered for durability, so that the stress properly transfers to the bar, and does not overstress the welds and mounting brackets.
Often overlooked, especially on vehicles that are reaching higher levels of modification, is the importance of reinforcing the chassis. All vehicles experience flexing of the unibody under various handling loads. Twisting of the chassis is also very common on higher horsepower vehicles.
The SUSTEC UNDERBRACE prevents this unwanted behavior by connecting specific points of the undercarriage to reinforce the chassis. Unique internal double-i-beam construction is highly rigid and lightweight, so the chassis may be significantly reinforced without adding surplus weight.
Lightweight, Highly Rigid Double I-Beam
The internal design of the brace features a double I-beam construction which helps these braces achieve high rigidity. The underbrace significantly increases rigidity without adding surplus weight. The combination of the Sustec tower bar, stabilizer, and suspension package dramatically improves the vehicle's handling.
Ultra Lightweight Ovalshaft
Constructed of reinforced aluminum, the Underbrace features a highly rigid ovalshaft design that features excellent construction quality and fitment.
2 or 4 Point Bracing
Specially engineered to connect to points on the chassis that provide the highest rigidity and flex reduction, the braces are available in 2 or 4 point configurations, depending on application. Front, Rear, and Center braces are available. By reducing flexing and distortion of the chassis, stability between left and right sides is improved, which means sure-footed handling.
The Sustec Stabilizer eliminates roll for exceptional stability and maximum tire contact patch and grip.
Sustec Stabilizer features a unique FULL CHROME-MOLY steel alloy construction. Chrome-moly steel is exceptionally strong, and small diameter chrome-moly anti-sway bars are significantly stronger than the standard steel anti-sway bars that are larger in diameter.
Chrome-moly anti-sway bars, which have typically only been available to racers, are now available to all motorsport drivers for a reasonable price!
Full Chromemoly Construction, Handling Master
Chrome-moly is extremely lightweight and rigid, when compared to heavier standard steel, which requires more material to achieve the same strength.
Chrome-moly steel is commonly used to build roll cages, and has an established reputation in the performance community as the first choice material for a reasonable price.
Sustec Stabilizer is extremely lightweight, and is engineered to provide the favored neutral balance, which can eliminate factory suspension settings for understeer.
Bolt On, Stock Mounting
Bolt On, Stock Mounting. The Sustec Stabilizer bolts onto stock mounting locations and uses the factory end links and fitment for trouble-free usage. Many other sway bars need special hardware that can change mounting location, and can interfere with fitment, clearance, and other components on the vehicle, such as the exhaust or suspension arms.
No Adjustment Necessary. The Sustec Stabilizer has ideal fitment, and is specially tuned to provide the best handling characteristics for each vehicle, reducing the need for adjustments. Anti-sway bars that have 'notches' on the sway bar mount, can exhibit a tendency to bend and snap factory end links, therefore, if adjustment is necessary, reinforced adjustable end links are recommended for preload adjustment.
Solid Bushings Included on Most Kits
Most Sustec Stabilizer kits include replacement bushings that fit with the specially sized Sustec Stabilizer.
