The engine crankcase must be ventilated to prevent the buildup of pressure that can cause gaskets to fail and oil leaks. Depending on application and design, the crankcase breather cap can double as an oil fill cap and breather or be a breather element alone, and the cap can be for a closed positive crankcase ventilation system or function as an open crankcase breather. Regardless of design and application, all caps are made from premium materials with heavy-duty construction.
