Handheld spotlights are a marvelous tool when you need to throw a pencil-beam of brilliant light across a yard, down a tunnel or up the road. Once you’ve found a spotlight that has the kind of light output you need, there are other choices: probably the most important is the run time; how long your light will stay on until the batteries crap out, getting gradually dimmer and more orange as the evening wears on. Another consideration is storage life: how long will it hold its charge between uses without recharging. And a few other considerations like weight, size, and recharge time. This spotlight uses lightweight Li-ion batteries and an LED bulb for long runtime, light weight low parasitic drain for as long as 40 minutes of runtime and a year or more between charges. As a bonus, the light output is constant for the majority of the runtime due to internal chips automatically adjusting to compensate for battery drain.
The Stanley Works was founded in 1843 in New Britain, Connecticut by Frederick T. Stanley to manufacture door hinges and bolts.. A few years later, in 1857, Frederick's cousin, Henry founded The Stanley Rule and Level Company. In 1910, S. Duncan Black and Alonzo G. Decker started their shop in Baltimore, Maryland, and were awarded a patent 6 years later for the world’s first portable power tool. In 2010 Stanley and Black & Decker combined to form Stanley Black & Decker, to deliver the tools and solutions that industrial companies, professionals, and consumers count on to be successful when it really matters.
